Poetic Photos On The Ice

From the first time I talked to Lily over the phone for their fall 2026 Northern Michigan Wedding, I knew we were a fit. I fell in love with the photos she showed me from their surprise proposal (awesome job planning that Luke!) I got to photograph them while they were visiting during Christmas time. I know it sounds so clique to say I have fun all the time but it's true. It felt like a romantic movie. We met in Boyne City at Avalanche Preserve on a very chilly afternoon the day after Christmas. It was snowing on and off and the rink was almost empty so we had free range. These two are high school sweathearts that have been skating their whole lives. I could tell too. They were so in sync and skated so beautifully. I would ask them to do a tricky move and they would nail it with ease. I am so pumped to photograph their wedding at Castle Farms and make more memories with them.
